Bass that carries without effort, and a treble that keeps singing when pushed. It needs a big room to make sense. Against the Kawai RX-3 it is 11 cm taller and 9 kg heavier.

Kawai voicing runs warmer than Yamaha at the same size, particularly up top. People who practise for hours tend to prefer it. Neither is better. Play both, which you can do on one floor at the shop.
