127 cm tall. It is the step up people take when a student stops sounding like a beginner.
Tell us the room, the floor and whether there is a lift. We will say whether this one works before you make the trip.
Kawai
In the price, not added at the end.
Read both. The second list is the one that saves people money.
Fuller in the bass than a starter piano without turning into a big instrument. That balance is the whole reason this size exists. Against the Kawai NS-15M it is 2 cm taller and 15 kg heavier.
Set against the Kawai No. K35, the most commonly sold used Kawai here, it is 5 cm shorter and 15 kg heavier. Middling for weight in a range that spans 160 kg to 270 kg.
Kawai voicing runs warmer than Yamaha at the same size, particularly up top. People who practise for hours tend to prefer it. There is no right answer here. Both are on the floor, so try them back to back.
235 kg is getting heavy. In a lift it is routine, up a staircase it becomes a planned job.
Kawai built several at 127 cm tall: the BL-51, KS-3F. They differ in weight and case rather than in size. If the NS-25 is not on the floor when you ask, the table below is where we would send you next.
| Model | Height | Weight | Width |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kawai NS-25 This model | 127 cm | 235 kg | 153 cm |
| Kawai KS-3F | 127 cm | 235 kg | 152 cm |
| Kawai BL-51 | 127 cm | 220 kg | 152 cm |
| Kawai US-5X | 125 cm | 232 kg | 149 cm |
We do not guess about individual instruments. Ask what was replaced on the NS-25 you are looking at and we will tell you, serial number included.
The piano heater that comes with it is not a gimmick. In a damp house, run on a timer, it is the cheapest maintenance you will do.
Not sure yet? Rent monthly and decide later. What you have paid in rent comes straight off the price if you keep it.
A domestic line sitting between the BL and US runs. Sensible heights and conventional cases.
127 cm tall, 153 cm wide, 61 cm deep, and about 235 kg. Height sets the tone, weight sets what delivery day looks like.
You need about 1.6 m of wall and roughly 1.0 m². 235 kg is getting heavy. In a lift it is routine, up a staircase it becomes a planned job. Send the room size, the floor and whether there is a service lift, and we will tell you before you travel.
We do not guess about individual instruments. Ask what was replaced on the NS-25 you are looking at and we will tell you, serial number included. There is a five-year warranty behind it, and we are the ones who service it.
Rent-to-own runs on a separate pool that changes weekly, so we cannot promise a NS-25 specifically. Ask what is free now. Nothing paid in rent is wasted if you decide to keep the piano.
Ask, because it changes week to week. If nothing suits, we will tell you that too.
Twice a year. The piano heater that comes with it is not a gimmick. In a damp house, run on a timer, it is the cheapest maintenance you will do. We include the two tunings it needs after moving.
We would rather point you at the right piano than sell you this one. Tell us what you need and we will say what we have.
