What The NS-10 Sounds Like

Middle register is where these live, and it is good. The lowest octave is adequate rather than a selling point. Against the Kawai NS-15M it is 1 cm shorter and 5 kg lighter.

Set against the Kawai No. K35, the most commonly sold used Kawai here, it is 8 cm shorter and 5 kg lighter. Middling for weight in a range that spans 160 kg to 270 kg.

Kawai voicing runs warmer than Yamaha at the same size, particularly up top. People who practise for hours tend to prefer it. It is a preference, not a ranking. Come and sit at both.
