A short case at 112 cm. It fits rooms that a full-height piano would simply take over. Nothing else in the CX series is bigger.
Tell us the room, the floor and whether there is a lift. We will say whether this one works before you make the trip.
Kawai
In the price, not added at the end.
Both sides of it. If the right-hand column sounds like your situation, say so and we will point you elsewhere.
The bottom octave is honest rather than impressive. Everything from the middle upward does what it should.
Set against the Kawai No. K35, the most commonly sold used Kawai here, it is 20 cm shorter and 20 kg lighter. Middling for weight in a range that spans 160 kg to 270 kg.
Kawai voicing runs warmer than Yamaha at the same size, particularly up top. People who practise for hours tend to prefer it. There is no right answer here. Both are on the floor, so try them back to back.
At 200 kg it is an ordinary move. Lift, fine. Stairs, tell us how many and which way they turn.
The only other Kawai we list at 112 cm tall is the CX-5. If the CX-5H is not on the floor when you ask, the table below is where we would send you next.
| Model | Height | Weight | Width |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kawai CX-5H This model | 112 cm | 200 kg | 150 cm |
| Kawai CX-5 | 112 cm | 200 kg | 150 cm |
| Kawai HAT-7 | 113 cm | 160 kg | 150 cm |
| Kawai KST-2 | 115 cm | 200 kg | 149 cm |
A used piano is only as good as the work done to it. Strings and dampers replaced where needed, hammers reshaped or renewed, the action regulated until repetition is even, pedal linkages set, case refinished. Then it is tuned and left to settle.
Humidity decides how a piano ages here. These were built for a climate with a winter, and in Malaysia the soundboard takes up moisture and gives it back, week after week. That movement pulls a piano out of tune, not playing it.
For families not yet sure the lessons will stick. Rent a restored piano monthly, and if you keep it, everything paid comes off the price.
Low console models at 112 cm, several in wood grain rather than polished ebony.
112 cm tall, 150 cm wide, 61 cm deep, and about 200 kg. Height sets the tone, weight sets what delivery day looks like.
You need about 1.5 m of wall and roughly 1.0 m². At 200 kg it is an ordinary move. Lift, fine. Stairs, tell us how many and which way they turn. Message us the room and the floor. It takes a minute and saves a wasted trip.
A used piano is only as good as the work done to it. Strings and dampers replaced where needed, hammers reshaped or renewed, the action regulated until repetition is even, pedal linkages set, case refinished. Then it is tuned and left to settle. Five years of parts and labour cover comes with it, from the same people who rebuilt it.
Rent-to-own runs on a separate pool that changes weekly, so we cannot promise a CX-5H specifically. Ask what is free now. The rent turns into credit the moment you decide to buy it.
Ask, because it changes week to week. If we do not have one, we will say so and tell you what is close on size and weight.
Twice a year. Humidity decides how a piano ages here. These were built for a climate with a winter, and in Malaysia the soundboard takes up moisture and gives it back, week after week. That movement pulls a piano out of tune, not playing it. Two tunings after delivery are included when you buy from us.
Stock changes weekly. Message us and we will tell you whether a CX-5H is on the floor, send photos and the serial number, and say if something else suits you better.
