Is The CL-4E Right For You?

Worth reading the right-hand column properly. Most of the pianos that come back are access problems, not taste problems.

Choose the CL-4E if

Sound and size

What The CL-4E Sounds Like

You lose bass and gain control. The sound stays close to the instrument instead of filling the room, which suits flats with thin walls. Against the Kawai CL-2 it is 18 cm shorter and 45 kg lighter.

Set against the Kawai No. K35, the most commonly sold used Kawai here, it is 28 cm shorter and 55 kg lighter. Among the lightest we list, in a range that runs from 160 kg to 270 kg.

Kawai voicing runs warmer than Yamaha at the same size, particularly up top. People who practise for hours tend to prefer it. Neither is better. Play both, which you can do on one floor at the shop.
