What The KU-3D Sounds Like

Full-length bass strings and the biggest soundboard in the range. It fills a room without being forced, which is what teachers listen for.

Set against the Kawai No. K35, the most commonly sold used Kawai here, it is 30 kg heavier. Near the top of the weight range, which runs from 160 kg up to 270 kg.

The B and D suffixes across the KU line mark revisions rather than sizes. Judge a KU-3D on how it was kept, not on the letter.

Kawai voicing runs warmer than Yamaha at the same size, particularly up top. People who practise for hours tend to prefer it. It is a preference, not a ranking. Come and sit at both.
