What The UX-2 Sounds Like

This is where the left hand starts getting proper support. Above middle C the difference is smaller than the height suggests. Against the Yamaha UX-3 it is 4 cm shorter and 9 kg lighter.

Set against the Yamaha U1H, the most commonly sold used Yamaha here, it is 6 cm taller and 16 kg heavier. Middling for weight in a range that spans 180 kg to 254 kg.

Yamaha is the brighter and quicker of the two, which is why exam candidates keep asking for one. Some players find the treble tiring over long sessions. It is a preference, not a ranking. Come and sit at both.
