Is The US-7X Right For You?

The honest version. We would rather talk you out of the wrong piano than deliver it and hear about it later.

Choose the US-7X if

The player is preparing for practical exams or teaches at home
The bass on a smaller piano has started to sound thin to you
You have the floor space and the access to take a large upright

Look at something else if

There is no service lift and the piano has to go upstairs

What The US-7X Sounds Like

The low register has real weight to it. Played hard it stays musical instead of turning percussive. Same case as the Kawai US-6X, 25 kg lighter.

Set against the Kawai No. K35, the most commonly sold used Kawai here, it is 10 kg heavier. Middling for weight in a range that spans 160 kg to 270 kg.

Kawai voicing runs warmer than Yamaha at the same size, particularly up top. People who practise for hours tend to prefer it. There is no right answer here. Both are on the floor, so try them back to back.

Every Kawai we sell has been through a full restoration in Japan and a second rebuild in Selangor. The second one matters most, because by then the piano has been through a humidity change we can actually see the effects of. It carries a five-year warranty on parts and labour, honoured by the workshop that did the work.

Can I rent a US-7X instead?

Rent-to-own runs on a separate pool that changes weekly, so we cannot promise a US-7X specifically. Ask what is free now. Rent for six months, buy it, and those six months come off the price.

Do you have a US-7X in stock?

Ask, because it changes week to week. If we do not have one, we will say so and tell you what is close on size and weight.
