What The U1A Sounds Like

Where the rebuild has been thorough, the tone is warmer than the later U1s and slightly less immediate. Where it has not, you hear it in a treble that has gone hard.

The A sits at the start of the U1 alphabet. Fewer reach Malaysia in good order than the later letters, so the ones that do have usually had work.

Yamaha is the brighter and quicker of the two, which is why exam candidates keep asking for one. Some players find the treble tiring over long sessions. There is no right answer here. Both are on the floor, so try them back to back.
