What The U3M Sounds Like

Full height response with a slightly firmer action than the earlier U3s. The bass has the weight you buy a 131 cm piano for, and the treble is clean rather than mellow.

Late in the U3 run. The examples that reach Malaysia are generally younger, and the reduced weight makes it the easiest of the full height Yamahas to place.

Yamaha is the brighter and quicker of the two, which is why exam candidates keep asking for one. Some players find the treble tiring over long sessions. It is a preference, not a ranking. Come and sit at both.
